Why I Love What I Do – A Note from me – Paul, The Tidy Gardener
Hi, I’m Paul—also known around Winnersh as The Tidy Gardener—and I just wanted to share a bit about why I do what I do, and why I love it so much.
To me, gardening isn’t just cutting grass or trimming hedges. It’s about helping people feel good about their homes and their outside spaces. Sometimes I’m helping someone who’s too busy to keep on top of the garden. Other times, it’s someone who physically can’t do it anymore, or just needs a helping hand. Either way, I get to turn up, do a proper job, and leave knowing I’ve made someone’s day a little bit easier—and that means the world to me.
It’s About People, Not Just Plants
I’ve lived locally for years, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know people in the community. Whether I’m working in Bluebell Meadows, Nine Mile Ride, or up in Woosehill, the chats over a cuppa are just as important as the strimming and sweeping. I see my job as offering more than just a tidy garden—it’s about being reliable, approachable, and offering a fair price with no drama.
I turn up when I say I will, I do what I said I’d do, and I make sure I leave everything neat and tidy. Sounds simple, but you’d be surprised how many people tell me that’s not always the norm!
