Something strange is happening in gardens across Winnersh as more and more reports are coming in of perfectly maintained lawns mysteriously disappearing, and even some āleaves being moved aboutā.
Apparently, homeowners all over Winnersh have reported waking up today to find their lush, green grass swapped for a soft, spongy moss carpet, and their gardens more generally āmade to look a bit messyā.
One confused resident told us:
āMy short grass has been swapped for long grass and my stripes have gone missing!!! Whoās behind this madness?ā
But thatās not all.
Homeowners in Arbor lane and Bluebell Meadow recently reported āpiles of leaves appearing out of nowhereā with one resident confirming āsomeoneās plucked the leaves from the neighbours tree and spread them all in my flowerbeds, and even planted some weeds!ā
Winnersh residents on the Reading Road were seemingly hit the hardest, with suspicions that county lines leaf rustlers could be targeting the community, probably from Bracknell or Slough.
Group CEO and Winnersh resident Paul from The Tidy Garden was quick to respond.
āItās shocking that someone would steal lawn stripes or plant weeds without permission, adding it might be due to a natural rewilding phenomenon that happens annually, or potentially that today is April the first?ā
He added, if youāve just realised you’ve lost your lawn stripes, discovered weeds in the flower beds or noticed some wild bush that can’t be tamed, that he’d like to hear from you – TheTidyGardenAprilfools
