It turns out that, rather quickly, The Tidy Garden side hustle became a full-time job.
And now, rather unexpectedly… that full-time job seems to have developed a side hustle of its own…. who ever said I obsess and take on too much stuff!??
So please consider this a quiet early whisper rather than a grand announcement, it’s still very early days, but for the past few months, I’ve been working on something BIG – REALLY BIG!!
As many of you know, The Tidy Garden has changed my life. It’s given me purpose, fresh air, new friendships, and the chance to help people enjoy their gardens again. I hope it’s made a difference for many of you too.
But it does have its limits.
A few people have gently suggested that The Tidy Garden feels a little “low-brow.” Cheeky! But, if I’m honest, not entirely wrong.
Because The Tidy Garden was never meant to say:
“full garden makeover, thoughtful soft landscaping, beautiful planting, and a gold-service finish worthy of a Chelsea-style show garden.”
And that’s exactly why something new has begun to take shape.
Introducing Root & Bloom Gardens 🌿
I’m incredibly proud (and more than a little excited) to share the early beginnings of a new joint venture:
Root & Bloom Gardens has been created to showcase what’s possible when we step beyond maintenance and into transformation. It’s about designing and delivering complete garden makeovers with care, creativity, and attention to detail from start to finish.
Rather than taking on lots of projects, the aim is simple:
Just five gardens each year.
A small number. Done properly.
We already have several gardens in progress, which makes this moment feel both exciting and slightly surreal.
A Soft Launch (For Now)
This is what people call a soft launch.
Next year we’ll make a bit more noise once we can properly share the gardens themselves, along with the stories, videos, and journeys we’ve been on with the people who trusted us with their spaces.
For now, it’s simply the beginning.
And it feels like the start of something special.
One Space Still Available This Summer
There is currently one remaining slot available for July.
If you’ve been thinking about a full garden makeover, this could be the moment to start the conversation.
